Birmingham is full of activity; the various building projects and construction of living units has increased the energy, as well as, the difficulty with finding parking. After almost 10 years of having my office located in Birmingham’s rail district, I moved my office to downtown Franklin. I have been in my current location for almost 2 years now. Franklin is a small village in the middle of larger townships in Oakland County. Surprisingly, many people in the area are not familiar with Franklin. It does have a small village feel, yet is also close to Birmingham, Bloomfield, Beverly Hills, and West Bloomfield. My office building has brown siding and is situated next to the Rouge River. It is a tranquil setting with ample parking. My office itself provides a cozy and safe retreat from the bustling larger suburban community. It also has the benefit of being in walking distance from the Franklin Cider Mill, which is open every fall.
